Ping’s G440 series represents a significant advancement in golf club technology, offering tailored solutions for a wide range of golfers. Building upon the success of previous models, the G440 family introduces innovative features designed to enhance performance, forgiveness, and playability.

PING G440 Drivers

The G440 driver lineup comprises three models: MAX, LST, and SFT, each designed and built to suit different player needs.

G440 MAX Driver

The G440 Max Driver is the most forgiving model in the series, ideal for many golfers. The new design features a shallower & thinner face that enhances ball speed across all points of the clubface. It features PING’s deepest center of gravity (CG) to date, achieved through the innovative Free-Hosel Design, which moves weight from the hosel of the clubhead and repositions it lower and farther back in the clubhead. The goal is to promote faster ball speeds and straighter drives. The overall head weight has been reduced by almost 10 grams compared to the G430. A 29-gram adjustable back weight that allows players to fine-tune their shot shape with draw, neutral, or fade settings.

G440 LST Driver

LST (Low Spin Technology) Featuring a 450cc clubhead is tailored for golfers with faster swing speeds seeking lower spin rates a more open at address club face and a slight fade bias internal weighting. Designed to produce a more penetrating ball flight. A 29-gram adjustable back weight that allows players to fine-tune their shot shape with draw, neutral, or fade settings.  The Free Hosel and Carbonfly Wrap crown save weight to create our lowest CG ever and increase forgiveness while contributing to a more muted, pleasing sound.

G440 SFT Driver

SFT (Straight Flight Technology) is designed to assist golfers who struggle with a slice or fade. It utilizes an adjustable back weight to promote a draw bias, helping to correct the dreaded slice. This feature encourages longer, more accurate drives by counteracting common swing issues.  The hotter face, lighter weight and longer shaft (46″) generate faster ball speed for big distance.

G440 Fairway woods are built for high performance, featuring key technologies such as:

• Carbonfly Wrap Crown: A lightweight composite crown that shifts weight lower in the head to optimize launch and increase forgiveness.
• Free-Hosel Design: A hosel structure that redistributes weight, helping to improve MOI (Moment of Inertia) and ball speed.
• Maraging Steel Face: A high-strength face insert designed for faster ball speeds and a more consistent launch.
• Contoured Sole Design: A rounded sole paired with a slimmer back-weight profile ensures the club sits flush to the ground, maintaining consistent face angles across various loft and lie settings.

G440 MAX Fairway Wood – Versatility & Forgiveness

The G440 MAX fairway wood is engineered to provide maximum forgiveness and confidence from both the tee and turf. With a taller face, it offers better contact on off-center strikes, making it ideal for a broad range of golfers. The Carbonfly Wrap crown and Free-Hosel design lower the center of gravity (CG), making it easier to launch the ball high with stability.

• Best suited for: Players looking for forgiveness and easy launch across a variety of lies.

G440 LST Fairway Wood – Low Spin & Penetrating Flight

Designed for players with higher swing speeds, the G440 LST fairway wood reduces spin for a more penetrating trajectory. This allows faster swingers to control their shots better without excessive height or spin loss. The Carbonfly Wrap technology contributes to a low and forward CG placement, which helps maintain ball speed and consistency.

• Available lofts: 3W (14.5°), 5W (17.5°)
• Best suited for: Faster swingers who need lower spin for added distance and control.

G440 SFT Fairway Wood – Draw Bias & Higher Launch

For golfers who struggle with a slice, the G440 SFT (Straight Flight Technology) model incorporates a heel-biased weight setup to promote a natural draw and help straighten ball flight. It features a slightly larger head with an ultra-forgiving design, allowing players to launch the ball higher and more consistently.

• Available lofts: 3W (16°), 5W (19°), 7W (22°)
• Best suited for: Golfers who need help eliminating a slice and want an easy-launching fairway wood.
